| We currently make the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, American
Medical Response tee shirts, plus many other county EMS Agencies & county/cities Fire
Departments tee shirts. Example pricing would be a 5 color design on the front, and a 2
color "Department ID" on the back of a white tee shirt, would be less than $7. each . |
| We only make Emergency Departments as our only clients, we pride ourselves on first class

| We have some stock designs, that may help speed up the artwork process and reduce your
art costs, because we already have "art" all we need is to drop in your departments name &

Fire Dept. is a simple 2 color design, all designs use the same basic art our stock Fire Cross

take the following steps.
- Get your art or ideas together, have your local art person help you with a drawing[s]. Need
some basic art, from our stock designs, E-Mail us, to see if we can help.[have your local art
person put your new design on a computer drawing program, NOT hand drawings. No
computer drawing programs available try another art person!! Your drawings will have to be
computer drawn at some point, may as well make them from the starting point.]
- Have your crew vote on the designs.
- Color choices, of the designs, fewer colors mean less costs to produce. What color of tee
shirt? Dark Navy Blue tee shirts, cost a little more over white tee shirts plus take an
additional screen print undercoat [under] your design, counted as one additional color. The
normal Fire or EMS design are in the 6-8 color range, few designs in the 4-5 colors and a
few in the upper 10-12 colors, ... remember the more complex the design the more colors
the more costs for the final tee. We can print up to 16 colors on our equipment, with 5-7
color range being the normal.
- Colors of design completed, tee shirt color decided, your artwork must be separated into the
different color "layers" to print one color at a time.... this is called color separations. The
color seps for screen printing are different than regular paper press printing, the colors must
match [butt] together perfect and not overlap... this take a special art person who knows the
color seps for screen printing. You may have this done, at your local level, we can help you
with many outside companies all across the USA that only do color seps for screen printing.
We also have local companies that complete this for us. The normal hour fee we pay them is
$35. hr. plus the actual film [seps] costs. The film plates, [each one for a different color to be
printed] are considered in the trade "CAMERA READY ART". Special Note: Many silk
screen companies do in-house art and color seps in-house, many companies can silk screen
anything, [there are plenty of silk screen printers in the phone book!!!] the quality of the final
job is what is important, we have a professional company complete this very important step
for us, the color separations. These companies do the "art" and color seps for many large
screen printers who may also have there own in-house art, however when they need a job
separated "perfect" they send the art OUT to a independent color art lab & separations
company that does only silk screen seps.[called in the business a Service Bureau, with
expensive computer systems and film development equipment $100K to $500K investment,
no one single local screen printer has this state of the art equipment] When your art is ready,
E-Mail us for a regional company in your area that can help you with your final CAMERA
READY ART for silk screening.]
- With your Camera Ready Art [CRA] in hand, you are ready for the next phase, the actual
screen printing. Remember, the final quality of the design is ONLY good as the quality of the
art and color separations [film color layers].
- The CRA is used to make the actual silk screens [frames], ready to print your design on tee
shirts and sweatshirt.
- You may always use our "Camera Ready DESIGNS" , modified only by adding your
department name & state, plus department, county, state seal in the center, see examples
below in the "Silk Screen Gallery" for Orange County Fire or Russian River Fire with 7-8
color design in our stock Fire Cross or using the SAME Fire Cross design in only two colors
the example Fresno County Fire. These stock Fire Cross Designs will save you in raw art
development costs. Your only costs would be a few hours to re-design the Fire Cross and
the actual "film" costs to get your CRA ready to go.
- The total number of items to silk screen [total tees, sweats] will determine your final price for
each item printed. A good rule is about 24 items per color of design to make the final price a
reasonable costs.... a 3 or 4 color design equals 72 or more items. The normal minimums for
screen printers is in the 72 or more count, without having added set-up fees to offset the
lower number of screen printed tees & sweats.
- We have many stock "BACK ID" ready to go, with no additional costs, FIRE-RESCUE,
FIRE DEPARTMENT, EMT, PARAMEDIC etc. many in two colors ready for printing on
Dark Navy tee shirts, [ example is FIRE-RESCUE with a undercoat screen of the entire
design in white, then the red is placed on top of this white coat, leaving a thin outline of white,
making a two color RED/WHITE design..... looks great on a Navy Tee.] We could add
your department/agency name above one of our "BACK ID" designs, at less than $20. for
film , art set-up, and screen set-up [plus costs of actual screen printing each tee]

back plus a front logo to a tee shirt in regular silk screen non-reflective ink, and ADD for
